NEW BOSTON- Scioto County Sheriff David Thoroughman states that his Office was contacted on Tuesday, September 12, 2023, by the New Boston Police Department about a possible sexual assault.

PORTSMOUTH— Shawnee State University will hold a Bear Run on Wednesday, Sept. 27 beginning at 6 p.m. Held on SSU’s campus since the fall of 1995, the Bear Run is a biannual 5K run/walk open to the campus and surrounding communities. All funds raised during the Bear Run will support SSU Athletics.
PORTSMOUTH- The Scioto Foundation is pleased to announce the establishment of the Future for Scioto County Scholarship Fund created by Ohio State University senior Austin Meyers for the benefit of local students throughout Scioto County. SCIOTO COUNTY- Scioto County Sheriff, David Thoroughman, shared that Detective Jodi Conkel, of the Scioto County Prosecutor’s Special Victim Unit, received a call on Monday from the Portsmouth Police Department. They informed Detective Conkel that they were contacted by a social worker from Nationwide Children’s Hospital about a possible child abuse case.
