Update: More on Swauger Valley resident Wanted in connection with a Homicide

Update: Scioto County Sheriff David Thoroughman states that on August 3rd at approximately 12:30 p.m., Aden Michael Alexander Greene turned himself in to authorities. Aden Greene was accompanied by his attorneys and mother.

Aden Greene had multiple warrants for his arrest, all stemming from incident in which Nathaniel Chase Mcquinley, age 20, of 8372 Green St. Wheelersburg, Ohio was murdered. That incident occurred on Saturday, July 29, 2023 at approximately 12:48 a.m.

The court has ordered Aden Greene to be detained, and he will remain in lockup until his next court appearance.

Sheriff Thoroughman stated that this is still an ongoing investigation and encourages anyone with information to contact Detective Sergeant Jodi Conkel @ 740-351-1091.

PORTSMOUTH- Scioto County Sheriff, David Thoroughman, states that his 9-1-1 Communication Center received a 9-1-1 call on Saturday, July 29 in Portsmouth, Ohio.

The caller wanted to report a male had been shot and the alleged suspect had left the area. The caller advised that they were having a party when the incident occurred.

deputies and detectives, along with emergency medical squads, responded to the location. Upon deputies’ arrival they located a male victim and began emergency medical procedures on him. However, their efforts were unsuccessful and the victim was pronounced deceased shortly afterwards.

Sheriff Thoroughman stated that the victim has been identified as Nathaniel Chase Mcquinley, age 20, of Wheelersburg, Ohio. The Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigations (BCI) was contacted for assistance.

While detectives were interviewing a number of witnesses who were present at the party, BCI processed the crime scene for evidence.

Wanted in connection to this murder is Aden Michael Alexander Greene, last known address is 3114 Swauger Valley Road, Portsmouth, Ohio. Greene is described as being 5’09”, 128 pounds with blond hair and hazel eyes.

Greene should be considered armed and dangerous at this time. Sheriff Thoroughman advises to contact 9-1-1 if you spot Aden Greene, or you know his whereabouts, do not approach him.

Sheriff Thoroughman stated that several people in attendance at the party fled on foot and in vehicles before, and as, deputies were arriving.

Detectives do have a list of individuals in attendance and encourages them to call-in and speak with Detective Sergeant Jodi Conkel @ 740-351-1091.

In doing so, it will save time in this investigation by not having to tract down each individual that fled.
