Update: Deputy Chief, Jason Hedrick said that traffic must take an alternate route, as U.S. 52 will be closed. Trucks will have to take U.S. 23 to Kentucky U.S. 23 and cars can take St. Rte 139 to Milldale Rd. into Sciotoville.
NEW BOSTON - U.S. 52 East and West is closed between New Boston and Sciotoville due to a tractor trailer accident. Road will be closed for several hours according to the Portsmouth Police Department.

The Portsmouth Police Department has stated alternative routes for travelers.
“They will have to take alternative local routes to their destination. St Rt 139 to Milldale Rd into Sciotoville,” said Jason B. Hedrick, Deputy Chief ofPortsmouth Ohio Police Department. “Truck routes will have to be US 23 to Kentucky US 23.”
