The State Fire Marshal’s Office has been called in to investigate a fire at a trailer located at 3216 McNamer Brown Road in Lucasville. Saturday at around 4:16 p.m., the Valley Township Fire Department received a call about a trailer fire and arrived at the scene at 4:24 p.m.

Valley Township Fire Chief Teri Horton said, when firefighters arrived, the trailer was already a complete loss. Horton told deputies of the Scioto County Sheriff’s Office the blaze could be an arson since there was no electricity or gas to or from the structure. Horton also advised them that the fire had gone up the hill about 50 feet.

The State Fire Marshal’s Office was notified and in the meantime deputies tried to make contact with the owner of the trailer but the owner was gone at the time the fire broke out.
