PORTSMOUTH, Ohio – The Shawnee State men’s basketball team received recognition for some off-court excellence, as Seth Young was honored with Academic All-Mid-South Conference honors, conference officials announce Wednesday morning.
Young, a Franklin Ohio native, has received this recognition for the third year in a row. The senior sports a 3.94 grade point average and looks to graduate this spring with a degree in business administration.
The SSU men’s squad is slated for postseason play, beginning the Mid-South Conference Championships on Friday at the Frankfort Convention Center in Frankfort, Ky. The Bears – representing the fifth seed – will square off against fourth-seeded Campbellsville University at 8 p.m.
