Man injured in single-vehicle crash

WAVERLY — According to reports, the Ohio State Highway Patrol (OSHP) Post in Chillicothe is investigating a single-vehicle commercial vehicle crash on US 23 in Pike County.

Reportedly, Herouna Seck, 46, of Grove City, Ohio, was operating a 2016 International Tractor northbound on US 23. Seck drove off the left side of the road striking a ditch in the median. The vehicle overturned coming to rest on its left side. Authorities said Seck was extracted from the vehicle by mechanical means by the Pee Pee Township and Waverly Fire Departments. He was then transported to the Ohio State Wexner Medical Center in Columbus by Air Evac.

The Waverly Fire Department, Piketon Fire Department, Pike County Sheriff’s Office, Piketon Police Department, and Pike County E.M.S. assisted at the scene of the incident.

According to OSHP, the crash is currently under investigation.
