PORTSMOUTH – River Days, the longest running festival in Ohio, is celebrating its 59th year. The annual Labor Day Festival held in Portsmouth kicks off on Friday, September 2nd and runs until Sunday, September 4th.

The 34th Annual Big Band Concert is ready to bring jazz and fun times to Portsmouth again, as players prepare to give another loud and joyous evening this September.

Believe it or not. We have ANOTHER original film. Sort of. The title is one word and tells us the whole plot…Beast (a LION in this film) centers on a grieving father and his two children as they fight said Beast and try to survive. However, the father in his film is played by Idris Elba who it a fantastic actor. The question is would this film be any good? Just a quick money grab? I think so.

THE STORY BEHIND “ BRIDGE TO PORTSMOUTH”

CHILLICOTHE – It’s been a while since the sweet swing of your golf club could impact the health of the community. That’s about to change. The ongoing impact of the COVID-19 pandemic into 2021 left the Adena Health Foundation’s Scioto Valley Golf Classic in limbo last year like a teed up ball on an empty driving range. On Friday, September 23, at Crown Hill Golf Club in Williamsport, Ohio, that limbo ends with the return of the 18-hole team scrambles event.

MANSFIELD– Summer revelers can close out the 2022 season with a new annual event, Mansfield Lahm Airport Day, which kicks off Saturday Aug. 27 from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Designed to introduce the community to the many significant updates and improvements at Mansfield Lahm Regional Airport, the event highlights the Airport as an important business driver in the community, but also its role in bringing in leisure travelers to experience the community’s many offerings. Events specially designed to ignite an interest in the world of aviation will excite the airport’s youngest visitors on Airport Day.

The Portsmouth Area Arts Council and Children’s Theatre (PAAC) Board of Directors have announced a stunning lineup of shows for the 2022-2023 performance season.

PORTSMOUTH – The Counseling Center (TCC), in partnership with the Friends of Portsmouth, is set to host ‘Summer Bummer 2’ at the Vern Riffe Center for the Arts on Friday, August 26th. Doors open at 6PM and the event kicks off at 7PM.

Portsmouth’s very own circus, Cirque d’Art Theatre, is ready to welcome the community for a day of circus fun and enjoyment with the debut of its new event, the River Town Circus Carnival.
