The Scioto County Sheriff’s Office is seeking the public’s help in locating a Scioto County man wanted on numerous warrants. The person currently at large and being sought is George F. Blevins, 32 of Wheelersburg. Blevins has warrants on him for failure to appear and disorderly conduct out of Portsmouth Municipal Court, Blevins also has an indictment warrant out of Scioto County Common Pleas Court for breaking and entering a felony of the fifth degree. Blevins is described as 5 feet 9 inches tall, weighing 170 pounds with very short or shaved brown hair and brown eyes.
Scioto County Sheriff Marty V. Donini said his office received a call on Tuesday from a Franklin Furnace home stating that someone had broken into a garage and stole several items to include four bows used for hunting.
Deputies responded to that location which resulted in a report being filed and forwarded to a detective for an investigation.
Donini said during the investigation detectives were able to gather evidence that helped identify one of the suspects who is currently at large and wanted on other charges.
Blevins is described as 5 feet 9 inches tall, weighing 170 pounds with very short or shaved brown hair and brown eyes.
Donini said the investigation is ongoing and that it will result in more charges being presented to the Scioto County grand jury and is requesting anybody with information on George Blevins’ whereabouts to contact detective Jodi Conkel at 740-351-1091. He said all calls will be anonymous.
