RUSSELL, Ky. — The Christmas holiday season with all of its lights, warmth and cheer, can be a challenging time for many, particularly for parents of special needs children. With this information in mind, the Bon Secours Kentucky Health System in collaboration with Pathways will host a free support group for parents with special needs children Tuesday, Dec. 8 at noon at Bellefonte Centre (1000 Ashland Drive) on the campus of Our Lady of Bellefonte Hospital (OLBH).
The topic of December’s meeting will be Stress Management for the Holidays, and Kevin Compton, Bon Secours Kentucky Health System Communications & Advocacy Specialist, said the support group event is very timely.
“The upcoming support group for parents of special needs children is especially timely as we enter the holiday season and the accompanying stress becomes an issue for many,” Compton said.
