The Notre Dame Lady Titans defeated the Western-Latham Lady Indians Thursday, 11-1, in a make up game from earlier in the season.
Maggie Whitman pitched her way to another win going six innings allowing one run off three hits. The Notre Dame sophomore struck out six Lady Indians and issued no walks.
Two Lady Titans had four hits on the night, Molly Hoover and Caitlyn Ball.
Hoover went 4-5 at the plate hitting two doubles and a triple, while driving in one run. She also stole three bases and scored in the first, third and fourth innings.
Ball went 4-4 Thursday evening. She had three RBIs and had one double, while scoring twice.
Four other Lady Titans crossed the plate during the Notre Dame rout of Western.
Jada Corns scored in the fourth inning after drawing a walk.
Whitman had a pair of scores in her 2-3 performance. She also drove in a run.
Makayla Hadsell crossed the plate in the sixth, and final, inning while driving in a couple of runs with three hits on the night.
Left-handed Hagen Shaefer had two hits, two RBIs and two scores against Western.
Western’s CC Shanks was the only Lady Indian to reach home against the Lady Titans. After getting a single in the first inning, she was later knocked home by Williams. Shanks was 1-3 on the night.
