Lady Panthers slay Dragons, 19-1

The Clay Lady Panthers racked up its 12th win of the season Tuesday evening, after defeating the Fairland Lady Dragons, 19-1.

Clay pitcher Hannah Oliver pitched three innings of work Tuesday to get the win, her seventh on the year. She gave up no runs and only two walks in her performance against Fairland. The freshman hurler averaged two strike outs for each inning of work as well, totaling six punch-outs in the game.

Clay had a pair of hitters with three hits on the night, Jensen Warnock, and Tressa Carter.

Warnock drove in five runs on Tuesday, while scoring three runs, and hitting two doubles. Carter continued to rack up extra base hits, as she hit a triple, while driving in three runs, and scored three times.

The Lady Panthers will return to conference play Friday evening, as they take on the East Lady Tartans. First pitch has been slated for 5:00 p.m. at the Clay High School softball field.
