Armed robbery at Super Quik

The Portsmouth Police Department is investigating an early morning robbery that was reported to have occurred at Super Quick Convenient Mart located at 2926 Scioto Trail. An employee of the store reported that at about 2:27 Monday morning a subject entered the store wearing a ski mask and gloves.

According to the employee the subject approached the counter and brandished a handgun and demanded the money from the cash register. The employee said she gave the suspect the money and the suspect fled from the store northbound in the direction of Coles Boulevard.

The store employee described the suspect as a very thin female between 5’4 and 5’6 tall with blue eyes. The employee said she was wearing a black hooded jacket over the ski mask.

She said she recognized the voice and believes it was a white female that used to frequent the store. The employee said the woman has very short blonde buzz type hair and tattoos everywhere on her arms, and said if it is the woman she suspects, she used to drive a yellow convertible mustang when she frequented the store.

The Police Department is seeking the assistance of the public in developing a name for the suspect. Any information can be kept confidential. Anyone with information connected to the robbery is encouraged to contact Detective Chuck Crapyou at 740-354-1600 or the Police Department Dispatch line at 740-353-4101.
