Congressman Brad Wenstrup (OH-2) will host his annual Academy Day on Saturday, April 2nd, for prospective Service Academy students and their parents. There will be two sessions this year, one at Anderson High School (located at 7560 Forest Road in Cincinnati) and one at Chillicothe High School (located at 425 Yoctangee Parkway in Chillicothe), to provide greater accessibility.
These sessions are identical and will include an Academy Fair, as well as formal presentations given by representatives from the U.S. Air Force Academy, the U.S. Naval Academy, the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, the U.S. Coast Guard Academy, and the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy.
“The U.S. Service Academies offer opportunities for motivated young men and women to serve their country while receiving an excellent education and developing valuable leadership skills,” said Rep. Wenstrup. “Academy Day gives prospective students and their parents the chance to explore these opportunities and have their questions answered.”
For the morning session in Chillicothe, registration and the Academy Fair will begin at 9:00 a.m. The formal program will begin at 10:00 a.m. and should conclude no later than 11:30 a.m. For the afternoon session in Cincinnati, registration and the Academy Fair will begin at 2:00 p.m. The formal program will begin at 3:00 p.m. and should conclude no later than 4:30 p.m.
