The South Webster Jeeps picked up a big road win Tuesday evening, defeating the South Point Pointers 44-37, in South Point, Ohio.
The Jeeps were led by junior guard Shane Zimmerman, who finished the night with 14 points.
“Defensively we were solid, and after some adjustments, we were able to keep South Point out of the paint,” Jeeps coach Ryan Fenton said. “Shiloah Blevins, our freshman, came up huge off the bench, with six points, six rebounds, two steals and two blocks.”
Fenton said Zimmerman did a great job running the offense Tuesday night, and that junior forward Alek Blevins set the tone for the Jeeps defensively, drawing two big charges in the fourth quarter, which helped swing momentum to South Webster.
“In the fourth quarter we really locked in defensively, and was able to outscore them 16-6 to lead us to victory,” Fenton said.
South Webster will take on the East Tartans Tuesday evening at South Webster High School. Tipoff is set for 7:30 p.m.
