On Thursday morning, people began to notice what appeared to be a convoy of law enforcement vehicles headed north on Scioto Trail and according to Portsmouth Police, a forced entry to a Portsmouth home has landed a man in the Scioto County Jail. Sky Bentley, 24, of Portsmouth is charged with aggravated burglary.

Portsmouth Police Detective Sergeant Jim Charles said Bentley forced entry into the dwelling of a couple of women he knew in the 1100 block of Kent Street in Portsmouth.

“He stole some money, some change, and fled the scene in one of the girl’s cars,” Charles said. “He has been arrested and charged with aggravated burglary and he is over at the jail.”

Charles said neither of the women was harmed in the incident.
