South Webster shuts out Waverly

The South Webster Jeeps used a huge first half to pick up a non-conference win over Waverly on Monday evening. The Jeeps scored all of their goals in the first half and shut out the Tigers in a 4-0 win.

South Webster junior Shane Zimmerman scored two goals and recorded two assists in the victory. Both of his goals came in the opening 10 minutes of the game, and sandwiched a score by Kahler Rockwell. Samuel Hoslstein also scored for South Webster.

Alek Blevins recorded two assists for the Jeeps, who out-shot Waverly 20-4 throughout the game.

South Webster keeper Alex Brady recorded eight saves and picked up the win, while Trevor Coriell made two saves.

The Jeeps are back in action on Thursday, when they host Minford. Waverly resumes conference play on Thursday, when they host Wheelersburg.
