Lions Club to hold Family Movie Night

SOUTH SHORE, Ky. — The South Shore Lions Club is planning to host a Family Night event, which will encompass live entertainment and a movie in the South Shore, Ky. Rotary Park on Saturday, Aug. 22, at 7 p.m.

Florence Crump, president of the South Shore Lions Club, said they wanted to offer the activity to community members in South Shore for families, since activities are limited.

Sponsored by the South Shore Lions Club, the Family Night event will offer live entertainment Bryson’s Store. A family-friendly movie to be shown when night approaches. The Lions Club will supply free popcorn and snow cones to attendees.

The South Shore Lions Branch Club was organized in 2013, and have held food collection for the local schools, and working in conjunction with the local schools to paint downtown store windows, and have hosted health screenings.

Participants for the Family Night event are asked to bring chairs and or blankets for sitting, as seating is limited in the shelter house where the entertainment will be conducted.
