Pathwriters to begin meeting Sept. 1

WURTLAND, Ky. — Greenup County Writers Group, Pathwriters is gearing up to meet weekly, Sept. 1 through Dec. 29, Tuesdays from 6:30p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Greenup County Extension Office, 35 Wurtland Ave, Wurtland, Ky. Anne Stephens, Extension Office Fine Arts Agent, said the tristate is saturated with people who possess a multitude of talent.

“The tristate area is full of talented people. Greenup Arts wants to give people the opportunity to explore the art of writing in a fun yet structured setting where they can share their interests with others,” Stephens said. “Pathwriters will explore the paths of life’s journey through writing prompts, activities, field trips, and guest artists.”

Stephens said they are inviting the public to come and be a part of a new writers group in Greenup County. Writing activities designed by Mary Shortridge, English Professor at ACTC for writers of all backgrounds and writing experience levels.

Registration is $10 per person, which will include necessary materials such as a a folder, paper, pencils, wring prompts, and other materials throughout the series. Writers will have opportunities to share their wring, but only on a voluntary basis, if they so choose.

All class participants will be over 18 years of age. Guest artists and field trips will be announced in September. Registration for the event will end Aug. 25 6:30p.m. GCEO. For more information, contact Anne Stephens, Agent for Fine Arts at 606‐836‐0201 or by email at [email protected].
