Ross County and Chillicothe authorities are seeking help in the cases of women missing from the Ross County area. Ross County Sheriff George Lavender said the Ross County/Chillicothe Missing Persons Task Force has established an e-mail account dedicated to receiving information about the women missing from the Chillicothe area. The e-mail address is [email protected].

According to Ross County authorities, Charlotte Trego was last seen in May 2014; Wanda Lemons disappeared in December 2014 and Tiffany Sayre around a month ago.

On Saturday people marched from Strawser Park through downtown Chillicothe for the Chillicothe women who have gone missing. Among them was Connie Sayre, mother of Tiffany Sayre, who was carrying a sign that read “We love you Tiffany Sayre.”

Lavender said there are now two ways for the community to give information to investigators. The tip line at 740-774-FIND (3463) or e-mail at [email protected].

The initial report centered around the death of Timberly Claytor, 38, whose body was found on Trego Creek Road near Massieville Road, and mentioned the case may be tied to some missing women cases in Ross County, Columbus and Scioto County. Late Thursday afternoon, Portsmouth Police Chief Robert Ware told the Daily Times after meeting with Ross County authorities, there is apparently no correlation to any women missing in Scioto County.

Ware said as of this time, the Portsmouth Police Department is not an active participant in the working group or task force that has been set up by Ross County authorities, but he said in the best interest of the public, the Portsmouth Police Department will continue to communicate with members of the working group to exchange information that may be of importance to their investigations as well as any investigations in which such exchange could result in bringing closure to the families and resolution to open investigations.
