The Clay Lady Panthers came away with a road win over the Northwest Lady Mohawks Monday night at Northwest High School. The Lady Panthers started off full throttle from the opening tipoff, scoring 26 points in the first quarter.
As Clay rode their momentum from the first quarter, Northwest was unable to strike back and stop the Lady Panthers. By the time on the game clock reached zero, the Clay Lady Panthers had defeated the Northwest Lady Mohawks 67-49.
Scott Cayton’s Lady Panthers finished the night with four players in scoring double figures.
Jensen Warnock led the Lady Panthers on offense Monday night. She earned a double-double against the Lady Mohawks, scoring 23 points and grabbing 10 total rebounds. Warnock also tallied five assists in the win over Northwest.
Regan Osborn ended the night with 13 points for Clay. Osborn scored 10 of her 13 points in the first half, and also had four rebounds and five steals.
Cameron Delotell and Skylar Artis each scored 12 points against Northwest. Delotell scored all her points from behind the arc, hitting four three-pointers. Artis hit a pair of threes, and had a trio of two-point field goals, as well as seven assists.
Krista Crabtree’s Lady Mohawks had a duo reach double figures Monday night, Abby Baer, and Josee Osborn.
Baer led Northwest with 13 points, while Osborn finished a few points below, with 10.
The Lady Mohawks will face off against the Valley Lady Indians on Thursday evening at Valley High School. Tipoff is scheduled for around 7:00 p.m.
Clay will hit the road and take on the Symmes Valley Vikings Thursday evening. Tipoff is set for about 6:00 p.m.
