The Northwest Lady Mohawks picked up a win over the Piketon Lady Redstreaks Wednesday night in McDermott. Northwest defeated Piketon 48-45, to pick up their second win on the season.
The Lady Mohawks had two players reach double figures in scoring Wednesday evening, J. Osburn, and S. Patty.
Osburn led Northwest with 14 points in their win over Piketon. Most of her scores came by way of the three-pointer, as she landed four into the bottom of the net. She was also perfect in free throw shooting, sinking both of her tries.
Patty finished the night with 10 points for the Lady Mohawks. Patty was good for four field goals Wednesday, and sank two of her four free throws.
Coach Brett Coreno’s Lady Redstreaks were led by Kara Blanton with 13 points on the night. Faith Pack and Summer Travis also supported the Piketon cause by adding eight points each, in the contest.
Northwest will travel to play White Oak on Monday. That game has a scheduled start time of 7:30 p.m.
Piketon next plays at the Pike County Classic on Monday. The Pike County Classic begins at 6 p.m.
