PORTSMOUTH — King’s Daughters Ohio welcomes anesthesiologist Katrina Brown Briggs, M.D. Brown Briggs, M.D., who joins Riverside Anesthesia, is now providing services at King’s Daughters Medical Center Ohio, in Portsmouth.
Briggs earned her medical degree from Marshall University School of Medicine, Huntington, W.Va. She completed residency at West Virginia University School of Medicine / Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown.
Briggs is board certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology. An anesthesiologist is a physician who administers and monitors anesthesia to sedate patients for surgery, ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the procedure and during post-surgery recovery.
Erin Bounds, public relations for KDMC, said they are elated about Dr. Brown Briggs’ return to KDMC.
“Dr. Briggs was with us here in Ashland a couple of years ago. She left here and went to Florida, and was in Florida for some time and decided to come back,” Bounds said. “She has an outstanding reputation, she is an excellent anesthesiologist, and were are so delighted to have her back to provide care for our patients in Portsmouth.”
