Multi-hit days for Spence, Duncan lead PHS past South Point

PORTSMOUTH — The Portsmouth Trojans tallied 10 RBI on 13 hits in their 11-1 win over South Point on Friday — the Trojans’ third-straight win in Ohio Valley Conference play.

Daewin Spence and Tyler Duncan both had multi-hit days for the Trojans (8-6, 5-3 OVC) as each finished 3-of-3 at the plate.

Spence’s three RBI was a team-high, while Duncan scored a game-high three runs and drove in two runs.

Zach Roth, Michael Duncan, and Jake Carter each had a hit in the victory.

Tyler Duncan got the five inning win, throwing just 72 pitches and allowing three hits, no earned runs, and striking out eight Pointer hitters.
