ND bests Western to remain unbeaten

LATHAM — A nine-run first inning led the Notre Dame Lady Titans to a road SOC I win over Western on Friday.

ND totaled 18 hits and had seven players finish with a multi-hit day in the 15-1 that continued their unbeaten start to 10-0 (5-0 SOC I).

Madison Brown and Maddy Suter each had home runs in the victory as Brown and Libby Kelly each finished with a game-high three RBI.

Brown went 2-of-3 with three RBI and two runs scored, while Kelly went 1-of-4 and three RBI.

Claire Dettwiller finished 2-of-3 with a team-high three runs scored, tied with sister Annie Dettwiller who also went 2-of-3 with three runs scored.

Freshman Kaylor Pickelsimer went 2-of-3 with two runs scored, Kyndall Ford finished 3-of-4 with two RBI scored, and Mallory Boland went 2-of-4 with a run scored and an RBI.

10 different Lady Titans had a hit, including Suter, Kelly, and Trinity Bowling who finished with a hit apiece.

Ford pitched a complete game in the win, allowing one hit, no earned runs and striking out 13 total Indian hitters.
