Lady Jeeps beat Ironwomen, 49-37

The South Webster Lady Jeeps picked up a big non-conference win over the Jackson Ironwomen Tuesday night at South Webster High School.

The Lady Jeeps held the Ironwomen to only six fourth quarter points to capture another win, 49-37, on their already successful season.

Ellie Jo Johnson led South Webster to victory, earning a double double by scoring 23 points and pulling down 10 rebounds. Johnson also grabbed three steals and dished out a trio of assists. She was excellent from the foul line, shooting 90% on the night, hitting nine of her 10 attempts.

Kacie Hall added another great night to her varsity career at South Webster, as she added 18 points to the Lady Jeep cause. Hall hit South Webster’s only three-pointer, and had four total rebounds.

Rebeka Green led Jackson in the loss to South Webster. Her 23 points were a team high, and was the only player to reach double figures for the Ironwomen.

South Webster will host the Oak Hill Lady Oaks on Wednesday evening. Game time is set to begin at about 7:30 p.m.
