Portsmouth wins on the road

The five game Portsmouth Trojans’ road trip continues for Gene Collins’ squad. On the second game of the five-game road trip, the Portsmouth Trojans defeated Gallia Academy 67-62.

Portsmouth was led by the duo of Kendall Reynolds and Kyre Allison, who combined for 41 points in the victory over the Blue Devils.

Kendall Reynolds finished the night as the top scorer for the Trojans, as he scored 21 points against Gallia Academy. He went three for four from the free throw line, and hit two three-pointers in the contest.

Fellow Trojan, Kyre Allison finished just behind Reynolds, scoring 20 points for Portsmouth. Allison also had an impressive night from the free throw line, hitting six of his eight attempts.

Portsmouth’s Ethan Leonard had a good night on the hardwood, scoring nine points, including two big three-pointers in the third quarter.

The Trojans road trip will continue on Tuesday evening, as Portsmouth travels to Ironton, Ohio to take on the Fighting Tigers. Tipoff is set for about 8 p.m. at Ironton High School.
