The South Webster Lady Jeeps outlasted the Minford Lady Falcons, 57-47, at South Webster High School Thursday night.
Holding on to a three point lead at the end of the third quarter, the Lady Jeeps scored 19 points in the fourth to defeat the Lady Falcons by 10 points.
The fourth quarter belonged to Kacie Hall. The Lady Jeep scored 12 of her 15 points in the fourth quarter.
Cheyenne Weakley led the Lady Jeeps with 18 points against the Lady Falcons.
Ellie Jo Johnson earned double-double honors, scoring 14 points and pulling down 10 rebounds.
Scott Caudill’s Lady Falcons had two players reach double figures, Erin Daniels, and Emma Shepherd.
Daniels led Minford with 12 points. She also shot 80% from the free throw line, hitting four of her five attempts.
Shepherd finished the night with 11 points. She had a big first quarter to get her team rolling, scoring eight.
Kristie Johnson’s Lady Jeeps will travel to Wheelersburg Monday evening for a big SOC matchup with the Lady Pirates. Tipoff is set for 7:30 p.m.
Minford will host the Northwest Lady Mohawks Monday night. Tipoff is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
