Portsmouth concluded their 2019-20 regular season with a 12-point road win over Coal Grove, Friday, in Ohio Valley Conference play. The Trojans will face Western on Monday in a Division III sectional semifinal at the Waverly Downtown Arena.

Wheelersburg 66 (20-2, 15-1 SOC II), South Webster 40 (9-12, 6-9 SOC II)

With their 66-40 road win over South Webster, the Wheelersburg Pirates clinched their second-straight outright Southern Ohio Conference Division II title. During the last two regular seasons, coach Steven Ater’s Pirates have posted a 42-2 record.

Minford earned their 11th win of the season on Friday in their 19-point decision over Northwest. The Falcons will travel to Valley on Monday in a make-up SOC II contest.

Valley dropped their penultimate game in their SOC II schedule with a nine-point loss to Waverly, Friday.

For the first time in the modern era, the New Boston Tigers won their 14th SOC I game to complete their clean sweep of conference play. This year’s group of Tigers is also the first to win 21 regular season games in Glenwood High School history.

South Webster 48 (10-12, 7-9 SOC II), Oak Hill 45 (17-5, 12-4 SOC II)

South Webster improved to 10-12 (7-9 SOC II) with their home Senior Night win over visiting Oak Hill, Saturday. The Jeeps’ 3-point win is a 28-point turnaround from their 50-25 loss to the Oaks on their home court earlier this season.
