Falcons edge Pirates 75-73

Brandon Rowe scored a game-high 22 points as the Minford Falcons beat the Wheelersburg Pirates 75-73 in an SOC II tilt Tuesday night.

All together, the Falcons had four players score in double figures. Aside from Rowe’s 22, Trey Kelley notched 21, Matthew Gullett added 17 and Jared Alley finished the game with 14 points.

Minford was hot behind the arc, hitting eight 3-point field goals. Kelley led the way with four shots from downtown while Gullett hit three treys.

Wheelersburg also had a strong offensive night as five Pirates scored in double figures. Tanner Holden led the Pirates with 18 points. Austin Lotspeich scored 15, Kaden Coleman added 14, Tanner Bivens chipped in with 13 and Kyle Davis finished with 10 points.

With the victory, Minford improved to 6-1 on the season and 4-0 in conference play.
