Wheelersburg sweeps way past Mohawks

The Wheelersburg Pirates (7-0, 5-0 SOC II) improved on their undefeated record Tuesday evening, as they swept the Northwest Mohawks 25-14, 25-7, 25-4.

Marley Hanzel led the way in serving, picking up a team-high nine aces to go with six kills and five digs. Catie Johnson also had a nice day from behind the line, with seven points.

Sydney Holden recorded a team-high seven kills along with six points, while Makayla Akers recorded six kills.

The Pirates take the floor again on Thursday, when they travel to Waverly to take on the Tigers. Northwest also plays again on Thursday, as they visit South Webster.
