The Notre Dame Titans packed some force in the sectional championship game against White Oak at Northwest Wedneday, a huge 58-15 win for Notre Dame.
“We knew coming into the game we wanted to pressure them and speed up their tempo. We were able to do that and never allowed Whiteoak to get anything going offensively. We were pleased defensively holding them to 5 field goals for the game,” said Notre Dame’s Head Coach JD McKenzie.
Hagen Schaefer led the Titans in the victory.
“Offensively Hagen had a big night with 25 and knocking down five 3’s. Lexi took control inside scoring 16. Our size and speed was a big factor tonight and the girls used that to their advantage,” the Titan coach commented. “Proud of the girls securing their 7th consecutive sectional championship. We now turn our focus to a solid Federal Hocking team next Thursday.”
Notre Dame currently has a record of 22-1. They will play the next round of tournaments at 6:15 p.m. on Feb. 23 against Federal Hocking at Jackson High School.
