Hagen Schaefer led Notre Dame Laday Titans to another aggressive win for a victory over the Portsmouth West Senators, taking the game 59-39.

Schaefer led the game with 17 points. She also contributed four rebounds and six steals.

Supporting Schaefer was Katie Dettwiller with 13 points, 10 rebounds and eight steals and Lexi Smith with 12 points, six rebounds, three assists and three steals. Molly Hoover also contributed four points and five assists.

“We were able to get off to a decent start but got into some early foul trouble as Katie and Molly had to take some early breaks due to fouls. Olivia (Smith) and Catelynn (Ball) came in and gave us some good minutes in their place,” Notre Dame Girls Head Coach JD McKenzie stated.

The Titans improved their record to 17-1 overall and 11-0 in the conference.

“We were able to cause some turnovers and get some rebounds that lead to some good looks in transition. It wasn’t our best game as far as execution and energy but we were able to play well enough to get the win,” McKenzie added about the win.

Notre Dame will return to the court Thursday to play the Eastern Eagles.
