Hagen Schaefer and Taylor Schmidt led the Notre Dame Titans in a huge win over Symmes Valley, taking the game by a score of 74-41.
Both Schaefer and Schmidt got 21 points and five assists. Coming up behind them was Lexi Smith with 12 points and 16 rebounds and Molly Hoover with eight points and four assists.
“Taylor Schmidt had a big game for us tonight, she shot the ball well hitting 4 three pointers but also was making the open pass dishing out 5 assists,” Notre Dame Head Coach JD McKenzie stated. “Hagen did a great job running the floor in transition and attacking the basket. Lexi was a monster on the boards and also ran the floor very well for us. Molly had another solid night looking to score and finding the open teammate.”
McKenzie further added that he was proud of the younger players for their contributions in the team effort.
“Once again we were able to get our young players (Cassie Schaefer, Sophia Hassel, Clara Hash, Baylee Webb, Olivia Smith) some valuable minutes and they played extremely well,” McKenzie stated.
The Titans will go on to play Monday at West. Meanwhile, Symmes Valley will face off against the New Boston Tigers.
