The Clay Panthers girls basketball team improved their recod to 10-4 and 7-2 in Southern Ohio Conference I (SOC) after defeating the Green Bobcats at home Monday night 65-27.
Clay had a strong lead early in the game, scoring 20 points in the first quarter to Green’s five. Green only scored in the double digits in the second quarter when Kaylynn Blizzard and Megan Johnson both came out with their best effort, together scoring 14 on the points made in the second.
Jensen Warnock led Clay with 16 points gained through six-two pointers, one-three pointer and one of two successful free throws.
Green was led by Blizzard, who made 15 points through five-two pointers, one-three pointers and two of five successful free throws.
Clay will meet Notre Dame on the road Thursday night; meanwhile, will play at home against Eastern.
