The Dragons set their home court on fire Wednesday night, beating the Portsmouth Trojans 67-48.
Fairland’s Isaiah Howell led all scorers with 20 points. Howell scored four field goals, three-three pointers and three of three free throws during the game. The Dragons also got 17 points from Gunner Short and 8 points from Luke Thomas.
The Trojans were led by Kendal Reynolds who scored 12 points and Mike Malone, who added 12. The Trojans fell to 5-3 overall while Fairland improved their record to 1-0.
Portsmouth is scheduled to return to the court at home on Friday Jan. 13 at 7:30 p.m. against Rock Hill.
