The South Webster Jeeps beat the Notre Dame Titans on the road Wednesday night 56-45. The Titans have had a great season, and it was a big win for the Jeeps.
“Our kids defended at a really high level tonight and forced Notre Dame into tough shots,” said South Webster Head Coach Aaron Fenton.
The Jeeps were led by Hunter Bennington with 22 points and Shane Zimmerman with 12 points. Fenton credited several players for the win.
“Hunter Bennington had his best game of the season with 22 points and terrific defense and rebounding as well,” Fenton commented. “Shane Zimmerman did a great job finding open teammates and running the point for us. Alek Blevins was terrific defensively and came up with several huge rebounds. Shiloah Blevins had another all around solid game with 10 points and 8 rebounds.”
Notre Dame will go on to face Green at home Friday night.
Meanwhile, the Jeeps will go on to play at Wheelersburg Friday night.
“Altogether, I’m very pleased with the kids effort. We have a big test coming up Friday at Wheelersburg, hopefully we can carry this momentum into then,” stated Fenton.
