South Webster 4, Athens 1

The South Webster Jeeps kept their undefeated season alive Thursday with a 4-1 win over Athens.

South Webster (13-0-1) was led by Shiloah Blevins and Shane Zimmerman as both players scored a goal and an assist.

”It was Senior Night tonight, but our sophomores really led the way with three of the goals,” Jeeps coach Corey Claxon said. “This was a good competitive game for us and our defense had to work hard tonight at times. Offensively we were able to play through Alek (Blevins) several times, but their keeper came up big for them.

Shiloah (Blevins) had two really nice shots on goal that he put in and Ty (Collins) and Shane (Zimmerman) both had good ones as well. We were glad to get the win against a quality team on senior night and keep the undefeated season alive.”
