PORTSMOUTH — Pleasant Green Baptist Church (PGBC), 1421 Waller Street in Portsmouth will host the 14th Pastor’s Anniversary of their Pastor Clarence and First Lady Patricia Parker. The celebration will begin Saturday, March 12 through Sunday, March 13.
Ruby Grant, member of PGBC, and the services are an expression of the congregations appreciation of both Pastor Clarence and Patricia Parker.
“Pleasant Green Baptist Church will show our appreciation to Pastor Clarence Parker and First Lady Patricia Parker for their leadership and dedicated service to the church.” Grant said.”We have been extremely blessed for by their ministry and and years of service.”
Celebration services will kick off on Saturday, March 12, at 1 p.m. with a Special Luncheon in honor of First Lady Patricia Parker, to be held at Portsmouth Inner City Development Corporation, 1206 Waller Street in Portsmouth.
The Pastor’s Anniversary services will be Sunday, March 13, at PGBC at 11 a.m. with special presentations and at 4 p.m.
Pastor Clarence Parker said he considers 14 years of ministry at PGBC to be a blessing.
“I count it a special blessing to have the joy of celebrating 14 years as the pastor and under-shepherd of Pleasant Green Baptist Church,” Parker said. “I thank God for the privilege of ministry and the people he has allowed me to minister with.”
Special guests for the 4 p.m. Service will be Elder Vincent Kennedy, Pastor and congregation of Living Faith Temple in Portsmouth. Refreshments and fellowship will follow the service.
