The Board of Directors of CRADLE Pregnancy Care Center in Portsmouth announces the hiring of an Executive Director, Melanie Malone, of Wheelersburg. Her position will be focused on serving and leading the organization in a way that achieves the purpose of CRADLE. By her own admission, Melanie previously lived life as though God did not matter and she was in a forever hopeless situation until God brought her to a saving relationship with Him in her early 30s. God opened her eyes to the Only Solution to her sinful nature and giving her Hope – the Only Hope – through the person of Jesus Christ! We point this out because Melanie’s testimony is one we believe God will use as an example of 2 Corinthians 1:4 to the community we serve. She is the mother of two boys and a member of Wheelersburg Baptist Church.
CRADLE Pregnancy Care center was organized in 1996 for the purpose of sharing the good news of Jesus Christ with the community through the Christ-centered provision of crisis pregnancy intervention, biblically based counseling, childbirth/childcare education, abstinence instruction, maternity resources, abortion alternative counseling, post abortion counseling, Bible studies, and related help. The Center is non-denominational and is supported by churches and individuals throughout the community who have banded together for the purpose of serving families in need by offering the hope of Jesus Christ.
Alli Boggs will continue to serve as Client Services/Office Manager and in her new role as mother. Denise Hurley will continue to serve with CRADLE mentoring Melanie and as Chairman of the Board. Please join us in thanking God for His provision and by praying for “..the spirit of wisdom and of revelation in the knowledge of Him…” as we continue this cause for God’s great glory!
