WEST PORTSMOUTH — The Wings Of Healing Worship Center (WOHWC) is congratulating Taylor Graham for being awarded Student of the Month for October 2016.
Taylor is 15 years old and is a member of The Army Of God Drama Team at Wings Of Healing. She attends West Portsmouth High School, where she plays the flute in band. Her favorite subject is English, and she says her special achievement is that she gets good grades. She enjoys reading and collecting Pop Vinyl. Some of Taylor’s other favorites are the Green Bay Packers, biscuits and gravy, and pixie sticks.
Graham’s favorite books are “Vast Fields Of Ordinary” and the Bible. Her favorite quote is “Those who matter don’t mind, and those who mind don’t matter.” Her special talents are singing and playing the flute. She says the person that she most admires is Silvia Dailey, because she’s always there for her. Graham would like to be a veterinarian and travel the world because she loves animals and she loves going places.
Pastorof WOHWC, Chuck Holsinger said Graham is a great asset to their congregation.
“Taylor is an intelligent young person who is kind hearted and fun to be around. She is a great asset to Wings Of Healing and is growing in the knowledge of the Word of God,” Holsinger said.
Dunia Mershon, Sunday School coordinator of WOHWC, emphasized Graham’s greatness as a student.
“Taylor is a great student in class. She consistently participates and I can see her eagerness to learn about God. Taylor is a sweet, kind and beautiful person both inside and out. She does a fantastic job signing and I love watching her perform in the drama team,” Mershon said.
Kim Baker, Sunday School teacher is looking forward to Graham’s continued growth in her relationship with the Lord.
“Taylor is a very sweet and caring young lady. She actively participates in Sunday school and small group classes. Taylor does a great job signing with the drama team and singing. I’m looking forward to seeing her continue to grow in her relationship with the Lord,” Baker said.
Jessica Ingles, Drama Team leader at WOHWC, has observed Graham’s talent through her participation in the Drama Team.
“Taylor is an amazing and talented girl. I am very proud of her. I have seen her grow and really step out and take part with the youth and drama team at church. It’s a blessing to be able to see and be a part of that growth. Keep up the good work,” Ingles said.
