PWES Student of the Month
Portsmouth West Elementary announces its Students of the Month for February. Those nominated were Ava Klaiber, Makenna Bentley, Kayleigh Craft and Charlie Pollitt. Nominees are selected based on the following criteria: academic performance, behavior, character, effort, social relationships, attendance both in and out of the school setting.
Sciotoville Community School (East High School) held its Spelling Bee for sixth through eighth grades recently. Twenty competitors, the top spellers from their individual classes, competed in several rounds of competition. The winner was sixth grader Alohi Keener. Keener is the daughter of Missy Montgomery-Keener and James Keener of Sciotoville. Runner-up was eighth grader Tabitha Plew. Plew is the niece of Dan and Kelli Rheinscheld of Sciotoville. Congratulations to these winners, and to all the contestants for their excellence in this academic endeavor.
