Reports from Scioto Sheriff Donini Marty Donini and Portsmouth Police Chief Robert Ware reveal that Stanley Eugene Hatfield, 29, of 2339 Vinton Ave., in Portsmouth and Megan Leanne Trapp, 23, of Wheelersburg, were arrested on Aug. 4. The two arrests are in connection with the arrest of George A. Lucas of Dayton, Ohio on Aug. 2, in which $9,000 was seized by the Southern Ohio Drug Task Force (SODTF) with assistance from detectives with the Scioto County Sheriff’s Office (SCSO) and the Portsmouth Police Department (PPD).

Donini and Portsmouth Police Chief Robert Ware announced that in connection with the arrest of Lucas and the seizure of more than $9,000 cash on Aug. 2, the Southern Ohio Drug Task Force received assistance from detectives with the Scioto County Sheriff’s Office and the Portsmouth Police Department
The arrest of Lucas on Aug. 2 led the SODTF, assisted by the SCSO and PPDO, to execute a narcotics-related search warrant at 2339 Vinton Ave., Portsmouth, on Aug. 4, 2016, at 2:16 p.m., according to reports.
Hatfield of the Vinton Avenue address and Trapp of Wheelersburg, were arrested on outstanding warrants for their arrests that had been issued by the Portsmouth Municipal Court. Authorities said a warrant for Trapp’s arrest had also been issued out of Fairfield County, Ohio.
Detectives were able to seize evidence suspected of being related to drug trafficking, and undisclosed amount of counterfeit money from the Vinton Avenue residence.
Both Hatfield and Trapp were transported to the Scioto County Jail, where they await appearance in Portsmouth Municipal Court. The case against Lucas and other individuals, believed to have been involved with Lucas, will be forwarded to the Scioto County Prosecutor’s Office to be presented to a Scioto County Grand Jury for the consideration of felony drug – related charges.
