A Portsmouth shooting incident has sent one man to a Columbus hospital and another man running from authorities. The shooting victim has been identified by Portsmouth Police as Shauwn Patterson, of 541 Berkley Ave., in Columbus.
Police are looking for Marcell Roshun Woods, whose last known address is 1521 Franklin Ave., in Portsmouth.
Portsmouth Police say at approximately 11:30 p.m., Tuesday, officers of the Portsmouth Police Department responded to a reported shooting near Bannon Park, located at 14th Street and Robinson Avenue.
Officers soon after located and identified the victim as Patterson who was found at Southern Ohio Medical Center where he was being treated for a gunshot wound to the left hip area. Patterson was later transferred to Grant Medical Center in Columbus.
Woods was identified as the assailant. He was last seen in what was described as a black Dodge sedan that is believed to be a rental.
An arrest warrant for felonious assault has been obtained for Woods. Police said Woods is to be considered armed and dangerous at this time.
