Warrant execution nets one arrest and seizure of drugs and cash

Scioto County Sheriff Marty V. Donini and Portsmouth Police Chief Robert Ware announce that on June 23, 2016 at approximately 4:30p.m., the Southern Ohio Drug Task Force, assisted by detectives from the Portsmouth Police Department and the Scioto County Sheriff’s Office, executed a narcotics – related search warrant at the residence of 43 year old Stacy L. Seymour located at 1611 Summit Street Portsmouth, Ohio.

Officers seized several Oxycodone pills, Suboxone sublingual film, small amount of marijuana, digital scales, over $2700 cash, and additional evidence of drug trafficking.

Seymour eventually surrendered a bag containing 19 grams of suspected heroin and 7 grams of suspected cocaine that had been concealed on his person.

Seymour was charged with Trafficking in Heroin, a felony of the 2nd degree, Trafficking in Cocaine, a felony of the 4th degree, Possession of Oxycodone, a felony of the 5th degree, and Criminal Tools, a felony of the 5th degree.

Seymour was placed in the Scioto County Jail and was to be arraigned in Portsmouth Municipal Court on Friday, June 24, 2016 at 9:00a.m.

The case against Seymour will be submitted to the Scioto County Prosecutors Office to be presented to a Scioto County Grand Jury for the consideration of additional felony drug offenses.
