GRAYSON, Ky. — Grayson Gallery & Art Center, 301 E. Third St., in Grayson will host a June show beginning with an opening reception on June 24, from 6-9 p.m. The event is free and open to the public and will include a variety of artwork from local artists, and live music by Larry Whitt.
Dan Click, GGAC coordinator, told The Daily Times they are looking forward to the June 24 Final Fridays event, as they do with each event. A wonderful collection of artistic work is expected to enhance the evening.
The theme is open for all mediums and subjects, but please consider a “patriotic” themed piece as we will have work on display through the July 4, holiday. Concerning picking up work, artists who have work in gallery from prior shows may pick up same dates and will be advised on future pick-up schedule. No work will be accepted for June’s exhibit after 2 p.m. on June 20, according to Click.
The charge of 15 percent of commission will be designated for GGAC, Inc. for gallery programs/operations, according to Click.
Art will be received Saturday, June 18, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and again on Monday, June 20 during the same time period. Up to three pieces of artwork may be submitted. Participating artists are asked to write artist name, title and price on one top corner (front or back of piece) for identification; work may be for sale. There is no entry fee.
Refreshments will be provided by Catering by Laura. For more information visit the Grayson Gallery Art Center Facebook page.
