Man electrocuted in Flatwoods

FLATWOODS, Ky. — Authorities said while trimming tree branches, a man was electrocuted when he came into contact with the main electricity line. The man, who has not been identified, was an employee of Asplundh Tree Expert Company, and was working at the time the tragic incident occurred.

According to reports, the accident was reported at 2:20 p.m. on Donna Court, in Flatwoods, Ky.

The man was transported to Our Lady of Bellefonte Hospital, and was pronounced dead by the Greenup County Coroner. Authorities said the body of the man will be sent to Frankfort, Ky., where an autopsy will be conducted.

Further investigation is pending, in which Flatwoods Police Department said no names will be released at this time.
