PORTSMOUTH — Mountain Heart will headline Final Friday in Boneyfiddle June 25 at Three Bridges Outdoor Concert Venue.

Mountain Heart is one of the top bands to come out of Nashville and has performed on the Grand Ole Opry stage over 130 times. Winner of numerous IBMA awards this Grammy nominated band has been fearlessly revolutionizing the way acoustic music is played and presented.

Performing in Portsmouth for the first time, this is sure to be one of the most memorable shows of the Final Friday in Boneyfiddle concert season. Opening the concert will be the Settlement from Huntington, W.Va.

“The Settlement wowed our audience on the Final Friday stage in 2018 and has gained a reputation as one of the area’s most innovative and energizing musical ensembles,” said Robert Black, president of the nonprofit. “This will mark the 36th concert we have presented here in Boneyfiddle over the last 8 years and we expect a record turnout.”

In addition, the Boneyfiddle Project will unveil the newly fabricated entrance sign that will be installed on the southwest corner of Massie & Second St.

“This beautiful sign will let visitors know they have entered the Historic Boneyfiddle District,” Black said.

Spear-headed by the Boneyfiddle Project the sign is made possible by a grant from the Scioto Foundation. The location of the sign was made possible by Darren Mault and the Portsmouth Brewery.

Final Friday in Boneyfiddle is a free, family friendly, concert series that takes place the last Friday of each month, May-September. The Three Bridges Outdoor Concert Venue is located at 132-2nd Street which is in the newly created DORA zone (Designated Outdoor Refreshment Area).

The concert is from 6 to 9 p.m. Bring a chair or blanket. Food and refreshments will be available.
