PORTSMOUTH — Looking for a free event to take the whole family to, maybe the local group Wild Son has the afternoon for you.
On Saturday, April 3, local band Wild Son will be hosting their third annual ‘Easter in the Park.’ This is a free-to-attend event held at Tracy Park (across from Portsmouth Kroger).
There will be an Easter egg hunt at 1 p.m. There are to be 500 Easter eggs hidden throughout the park with a prize in each one for children 12 and under. As an added bonus, the Easter Bunny will be there for children to take pictures with.
A and M concessions will also be on hand selling food and refreshments, like their Philly Cheesesteaks and Fresh Squeezed Lemonade.
To finish the afternoon, Wild Son will take the stage at 3 p.m. for a free two-hour concert.
guests are asked to bring the family down to the park for a fun afternoon with Wild Son.
The event is said to be subject to cancellation for rain, hopefully, that will not happen Saturday so the kiddos can have some much-needed fun.
On their Facebook page, it states that Wild Son plays Rock, Country, Classic Rock, Top 40, Southern Rock and The Blues. GET ready to Get WILD! The group’s founding members have been playing together since 2005.
