RUSSELL, Ky. —The Our Lady of Bellefonte Hospital (OLBH) Auxiliary recently presented Bon Secours Kentucky (BSKHS) Health System officials with a check for $55,000. The amount will complete the $94,900 the auxiliary raised in 2015 to benefit hospital programs.

The recent check presentation augments monies already given by the auxiliary including from December’s Lights of Love event and from proceeds of the 2015 OLBH Golf Benefit which were used in the acquisition of medical equipment and to support the scholarship at Holy Family School in memory of former OLBH vice president Jim Fuzy.

Luann Serey, OLBH director of Community Services, said the OLBH Auxiliary support is exemplified with each year.

“The OLBH Auxiliary continues, year after year, to demonstrate its dedication to OLBH and the hospital’s mission and we couldn’t be more thankful of each member’s efforts and support, “Serey said. “The funds raised in 2015 will benefit many people both in our hospital and in our community and for that we say thank you to our dedicated auxilians for their hard work that makes this possible.”

Kevin Compton, BSKHS Communications and Advocacy Specialist, said the consistency of the Auxiliary support is equally as impressive as the amount donated.

“The OLBH Auxiliary raises money in a variety of ways throughout the year all to return those proceeds to the hospital. Their continued support is as impressive as the amount they raised and donated for 2015,” Compton said.
