Man killed in domestic dispute is identified

The Portsmouth Police Department has identified the man whose body was found in a Portsmouth apartment Monday morning. The man has been identified as Robert K. Kidder, 52.

On Tuesday, detectives of the Portsmouth Police Department were continuing to investigate the man’s death which occurred shortly after 2 a.m. Monday.

On Monday, officers from the Portsmouth Police Department were dispatched to what they say was a domestic altercation that occurred in Apartment 3 at 709 Lincoln Street. Upon arrival, officers located an unresponsive male and a female with obvious signs of injury. The two were domestic partners and shared the apartment together.

The female, Redanna L. Blevins, 43, was transported to a local hospital for treatment of her injuries. Medical personnel were unable to revive Kidder. An autopsy is currently underway by the Montgomery County Coroner’s Office.
